A case report of a 71yr female with a Rt.lower eyelid lesion involving the medial canthus for past 2 yrs is presented. The mass which was initially flat and non tender increased gradually in size with pain, oozing and bleeding. An excision biopsy of the mass alongwith lid reconstruction with the help of modified Tenzel flap was done.HPE proved it to be an eccrine poroma.About 65% of these tumors occur on the soles of the feet,10% occur on hands where a high concentration of eccrine sweat glands exists.Less frequently it occurs in sites such as neck, chest, forehead, nose and scalp with sporadic occurrences.Benign eccrine poromas have rarely been reported to occur on the eyelid.Complete surgical excision of this lesion proved to be curative, with no recurrence after 1yr of follow up.Eccrine poromas are common benign tumours of the intraepidermal sweat duct unit.Sweat glands occur commonly on the eyelids and eccrine poroma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of eyelid tumors.
